WeChat mini program shows french wine culture
Sharing-Elemente and Edutainment-Approach
Tencent announced the “WeChat Developer Challenge” in 2019 – and we answered the call! We decided to work for the customer “Boisset Collection” and conceptualized, designed and implemented a WeChat miniprogram across all sites in a time span of 3 weeks. The miniprogram had the intention to inspire Chinese tourists for the french wine culture while sharing their impressions.
In the implementation of the mini-program, we focused on a minimalist yet meaningful design route that offers users orientation and allows them to move intuitively through the application. An atmospheric visual language makes the user want to discover the content.
Conceptually, the focus was on networking among users, which is very important to WeChat users. With the help of various sharing elements within the designed application, users can share their experiences, recommendations and discoveries with others, which at the same time ensures the dissemination of the application. An edutainment approach based on helpful and informative content pages helps the brand to present itself and generate attention for its own products and offers.
In the end, we prevailed against participants from all over the world and made it into the top 30 teams. The 30 finalists of the WeChat Developer Challenge had the opportunity to present their mini-program to a selected jury as well as a broad audience at the Disrupt conference in Berlin.
